My Scrivener®
"Handwriting on the Move"
Obslap Research LLC is developing and testing the safety and effectiveness of an inexpensive
computer game device to provide repetitive motion training for people who have trouble with
fine-motor control of their hands.   Fine-motor training can be provided on-site or by using
telemedicine.

Our rehabilitation / educational software is
My Scrivener®.  It fills three needs:
  1. Increases the hours of individualized “hands-on” occupational and physical therapy for
    children or adults with disabilities in the classroom, clinic or home;
  2. Offers specialized handwriting instruction and repetitive motion training via telemedicine for
children and adults who do not have direct or frequent access to specialized hand
    therapists; and
  3. Serves as an assistive technology device for children, youth and adults with permanent
    handwriting deficits.

It also fills a major unmet need in rehabilitation science for instrumentation that provides
objective, quantifiable measures of upper-extremity fine-motor movement.

A one page technical description is available here.

Obslap Research is currently recruiting occupational therapists and children with disabilities in the
Eugene area and all of Lane County, Oregon to participate in a study of the safety and
effectiveness of
My Scrivener® for handwriting instruction.  The study is registered with the
federal government in the National Clinical Trials Database.  If you are interested, please
